The award winning small business company, Oriental Rug Care (The Client) runs a very busy plant and rug repair business at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They have been successfully serving their customers with high quality rug cleaning services from past three decades.
Bill Thornton and his team at Oriental Rug Care, Fort Lauderdale Florida were having a hard time managing their Rug Plant Data. They were spending huge amount of money and time on other third party software(s) which were even not designed to manage their customized Rug Plant workflow. They desperately needed a custom solution to manage their rug plant data.
We were introduced to Oriental Rug Care by one of our mutual friend to whom we had been providing the FileMaker consulting services. Bill and his team explained us their problems in detail and expected a high quality and robust solution which could help them effectively run their business. It took us just 2 months to develop the initial version of their custom rug plant operational software.
We deployed RPOS on a secured private cloud server hosted on a public IP address which was accessible through Windows PC, Mac Book and iPad from anywhere. We kept on adding/enhancing various eye catching features like Customer data management, Invoicing, Reports, Calendar, SMS reminder Integration, Service Items Management. It's been more than 3 years Oriental Rug Care is successfully using RPOS and they are extremely satisfied with our services.
RPOS works easily on iPad requiring no paper invoices. The tablet is so easy and popular that the staff at Oriental Rug Care prefer to use the tablet over the desktop. And the best part is that they can assign a photo of each of the rugs to the invoice. When the driver at Oriental Rug Care sees his daily route on the tablet he goes to the customers house and by just tapping the appointment the entire invoice is filled in including the email and cell number, so the customer has the choice how they want to receive the invoice.
Oriental rug care for the first time gets 100% of the email addresses which is great for future marketing. The digital signature feature on the invoice captures customer's signature on the go and helps in maintaining a healthy relationship.
